There is more than one way to answer the question of what is a luxury home. One measure of a “luxury home” is the top 5% highest priced of homes in that market. Obviously, that number could change dramatically from market to market. The most recent measure of luxury homes in the St George and Washington County area would currently be described as property where the sales price is over $359, 000 and the selling price is in excess of $150 psft. In some markets, like the nearby Southern California market, this is a starter home. Obviously, that presents a stellar buying opportunity from purchasers coming from outside the area. This will not always be the case in St. George, but that is the reality of our market right now.
